Other Session IPA style brews
Sister Bad Habit returns once again! This Session IPA is fresh and easy drinking with bright citrus notes and a refreshing finish. At a low 4.4% ABV Sister Bad Habit is as easy as a Sunday morning. This lovely little IPA is a draft only offering available at our 77 Coxe and 675 Merrimon taprooms.
Low bitterness, balanced and very easy drinking. Hopped with Idaho7, Centennial, Comet and Chinook.
Every year we have a Comedy Month at our Merrimon Movie Theater. We show a classic comedy each week, and create a brand new beer for every movie.
Brewed for our 2019 Shaun of the Dead screening. At 4.9% ABV, this nitro English pub ale showcases a range of light caramel and bready malt notes along with earthy, floral, and herbal notes of English hops. The mouthfeel is smoothed out with thousands of cascading nitrogen bubbles that create a creamy froth on top of this easy drinking brew.
For the 5th annual collaboration with our homeys at Industry Nine we went all out and brewed two IPA’s. A big 7.9%er and a sessionable 5.1% version. We called these beers Tandemonium IPA and Tandemonium Session IPA. Both will be available on draft and in CANS!!
Tandemonium Session IPA
Pleasantly hopped with Idaho 7, Comet, Motueka and Mosaic this IPA sits nicely between hugely hoppy and perfectly refreshing. Citrus and tropical fruit dominate the flavor and aroma along with a touch of Honey Malt to round out an easy malt bill. English yeast ties everything together with a beer that we have been describing in the brewhouse as “too drinkable.”
Asheville Brewing Company’s 2018 Sister Bad Habit Beer is a session IPA brewed with white grape juice. The fourth annual release of this special beer celebrates our favorite LaZoom character–Sister Bad Habit. This slightly sweet, easy-drinking beer finishes dry, with lots of fruity aroma along the way.
Sister Bad Habit will be released on draft at both Asheville Brewing’s North Asheville and downtown brew pubs at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 17. That same evening, look for a LaZoom bus filled with brewers and friends of the brewery–all dressed in nun habits.
Asheville Brewing Company will release a special brew named for local rock band Stump Mutts on the Fourth of July, to celebrate all-American local beer, music, and fun. Stump Mutts Session IPA, brewed with pineapple and mango puree and a dose of milk sugar, is “a tropical punch of a beer,” says head brewer Pete Langheinrich. At 5 percent ABV, Stump Mutts is perfect for summer drinking with a mild sessionable bitterness and lots of fruity notes.
The beer will be available on draft and in very limited quantities of 22-ounce bottles at Asheville Brewing’s downtown and North Asheville locations starting at 5 p.m. on July 4, 2017. The Stump Mutts will play a free acoustic set on Asheville Brewing’s Coxe Ave patio, starting at 7 p.m. on July 4. Come by for a beer and original rock music before the downtown fireworks.
