On January 15 registration opened for the 2021 Asheville Brewing Super Hero 5K and Super Villain 10K, Presented by Black Orthodontics, marking the fourteenth year that some version of this event has taken place in Asheville, NC.
Glory Hound Events history with Asheville Brewing Company and the Super Hero 5K race began in 2014, but the story of the Asheville’s original Super Hero race actually begins in 2007. That was the year Asheville Brewing Company launched two new races in downtown Asheville, the Night of the Ninja 5K taking place in the spring and the Super Hero 5K taking place in the fall. Both races started and finished at Asheville Brewing Company’s Coxe Avenue location. The first year these races had over 400 participants and were a huge success. This yearly double header would continue through 2009.
